So well said, Beth an...THIS IS AN AMAZING POST!!!! So well said, Beth and spot on! Adoptive children or biological-all come from the marriage relationship-no matter how they arrive! We have one opportunity to show our children God's plan for marriage. So many people share on our blog that their parents did not model a good marriage and now they are struggling deeply to put those things they learned away and seek God on his desire and plan for marriage.

When kids enter our marriage, much of our time and focus does shift, but protecting and nurturing our marriage is vital! It is vital to our spouse and our kids!

I love the identifiying of important and urgent. That is a great way of accessing and repriortizing! Like I always say to wives have to have all things in their house clean and tidy before they can spend time with their hubby-those dishes and laundry will still be there in the morning, and spending that time with your hubby is so much more important! The same as you said goes with our kids!

I think as parents we feel like we are neglecting our kids if we are not attentive to every thing and yet that is teaching them a very self centered world, where everything revolves around them.

The marriage relationship needs to come second only to our relationship to God! Then those amazing kids!

Obviously I could go on and on! Such a great read, I am definitley sharing! Love it!
